WIA Programs

Are you interested in changing your career to Information Technology? Do you need computer training to help with advancement in the job market? If so, you may qualify for WIA, (Workforce Investment Act), funding that will cover the full cost of your Training and Certification Program of study. PST is an approved training provider for WIA through Coastal Workforce Services for this region of Georgia. As such, approved and qualified clients can receive funding which pays for all of their training fees, manuals and certification exams. Eligibility for the funding is determined by One Stop Career counselors at your local Department of Labor.

MCSA with Security+

The MCSA credential proves that you have the skills to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft Windows 2000-2003 server based operating environments, including Windows .NET Server. Security+ Certification will prepare you for job responsibilities that include securing network services, network devices, and network traffic.

Computer Technician: A+ Hardware/Operating Systems & Network+

A+ teaches basic system administration skills for Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to install and configure system components and devices as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Network+ measures the technical knowledge of networking professionals which means that the candidate possesses the knowledge needed to set up, configure, manage and operate a variety of networking products.

Web Development & Access Database Programming

This is a hands-on instruction that will introduce you to the basics and concepts of Macromedia DreamWeaver, Flash and Fireworks. Students will learn techniques for creating complex Web sites efficiently. You’ll learn the tools you need to create a Microsoft Access database. You’ll learn how to program and manipulate data on forms and reports, and you’ll begin to work with the Internet features in Microsoft Access as you create and deploy Data Access Pages

Business Office – Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) program is the only comprehensive, performance-based certification program approved by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills. It provides computer program literacy, measures proficiency, and identifies opportunities for skills enhancement and is a valuable credential recognized worldwide. This program covers training for Windows Intro, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as QuickBooks.
